Full Page Screenshot

Full page screenshots for marketers

Short answer

Marketing work produces things that disappear: campaign pages get taken down, ads rotate out, offers expire. A full page capture at the moment a campaign is live is the only record that survives, and PDF is the right format because it is what a report or an approval thread can actually hold.

Client reports
A link in a report is dead within a quarter. A captured page is still there, still shows the offer that ran, and does not require the reader to have access.
Approval threads
"Approved" against a live URL means approving whatever the page becomes. Against a capture, it means approving what was shown.
Swipe files
Competitor campaign pages are temporary by design. Capture the full page while it is running.

Settings for reports

Format
PDF, A4 or Letter portrait
For a single unbroken page
PDF, fit to image
For slides
PNG, then crop in the editor
Quality
High — small type has to stay readable

One honest caution

A capture-based PDF contains an image, so the text in it is not selectable or searchable. If a report needs to be searchable, capture the visual and put the key figures in the document body as text.

Frequently asked questions

What format should I use for a client report?

PDF in A4 or Letter portrait. It opens anywhere, prints predictably and keeps the page at a readable size.

Can I capture a page that requires a login?

Yes — the capture runs in your own browser session.

How do I remove client data before sharing?

Blur it in the editor before saving, so the unredacted file is never written.
